B4C volunteer Nikita Zatyko reflects on a 10-day conservation trip to Mt Isa, highlighting the importance of long-term partnerships, community relationships and ongoing weed management in protecting remote Australian landscapes.

Earlier this month, members of B4C's Landcare Services Team travelled to Mount Barney for a weekend of team building, ecological surveys and on-ground conservation work at one of B4C's two Nature Refuge properties.

B4C has lodged a submission on the proposed 25-storey development at 1202 Creek Road, Carina Heights, immediately adjoining Oates Hill Reserve and is surrounded on 3 sides by bushland.

B4C has established a rare native fish breeding program at its Sustainability Centre to help safeguard endangered local freshwater species, including Honey Blue-eyes and the genetically unique Spring Creek Ornate Rainbowfish.
