Perrin Creek Seven Hills Bushland Rehabilitation Group

Join a long-running Bushcare group helping restore and protect native habitat along Perrin Creek in Seven Hills Bushland Reserve. For more than 30 years, the Perrin Creek Seven Hills Bushland Rehabilitation Group has worked to transform degraded, weed-infested areas along Perrin Creek into native forest. Today, the restored habitat supports a diverse range of wildlife, including rare birds and occasional koalas and wallabies.The group’s ongoing aim is to maintain and improve the native biodiversity of Perrin Creek and the surrounding Seven Hills Bushland Reserve.

Join the Bushcare Group

The group has three regular Bushcare teams:
Every Tuesday: 7:30am–10:00am
Every Friday: 7:30am–10:00am
Second Saturday of each month: 7:30am–10:00am

The group takes a summer break from the third week of December until the second-last week of January.

Meeting Point

Meet at the green shed, approximately 200 metres along the fire trail from the yellow boom gate at the end of Latina Avenue, Seven Hills.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteers help with practical bush regeneration activities including:

Identifying and removing environmental weeds
Planting native species
Maintaining restored areas
Using Bushcare tools and equipment
Supporting native habitat and biodiversity

No previous experience is required. The group welcomes volunteers of different ages, abilities and backgrounds, with opportunities to learn plant identification and bush regeneration skills while working alongside experienced volunteers.
