Fox Gully Bushcare

Help restore and strengthen native habitat at Fox Gully on Mt Gravatt.Fox Gully Bushcare is a friendly group of volunteers working to restore degraded areas, control environmental weeds and encourage the natural regeneration of native vegetation.The return of Square-tailed Kites to nest within the Bushcare site is a positive sign of improving habitat and the value of the group’s ongoing restoration work.

What Volunteers Do

The group’s work focuses on strengthening and restoring native habitat through activities such as:Controlling environmental weedsReplanting degraded areasEncouraging natural regenerationImproving habitat for local wildlifeObserving and recording local flora and faunaFox Gully supports a variety of native wildlife, and the group also undertakes research and records the flora and fauna found within the Bushcare area.

New Volunteers Welcome

New volunteers are welcome. The group offers a relaxed and social environment, with volunteers working together or independently depending on the task. Members also often meet for coffee after Bushcare.
