Brandon Road Bushcare

Join a long-running Bushcare group helping restore and care for Bulimba Creek near its source in Runcorn.Brandon Road Bushcare has been caring for this section of the creek for more than 20 years, with support from Habitat Brisbane and Brisbane City Council.The group welcomes people of all ages, including families, and provides opportunities to learn practical bushland restoration and native plant identification skills.

When: Every second Sunday
Time: Start times vary throughout the year, between 7:00am and 8:00am. The group does not meet in January. Please contact the group before attending your first working bee to confirm the date and start time.

What Volunteers Do

Bushcare activities include:Planting native speciesRemoving environmental weedsRubbish collectionMaintaining revegetated areasWatering new plantingsLearning bushland restoration and plant identification skillsThe site also provides opportunities to observe and learn about the native wildlife found along this upper section of Bulimba Creek.
