Our Team

The Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee (B4C) has been protecting and restoring the Bulimba Creek catchment since 1997. Our work is made possible by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, partners, trustees and an elected Management Committee.

B4C employs 20 staff across a range of roles, including our experienced Landcare Services Unit and office team. As a social enterprise, income generated through our Landcare Services Unit is reinvested into environmental restoration, community education and conservation programs across the catchment.

Experienced On-Ground Professionals

Our Landcare Services Unit consists of qualified bush regeneration professionals with extensive practical experience in:

  • Bush regeneration

  • Weed management

  • Revegetation

  • Erosion control

  • Native plant identification

  • Habitat restoration

  • Environmental monitoring

The team works across more than 110 sites, delivering high-quality environmental outcomes for government, corporate, community and private landholders.

Many of our field staff hold Certificate III or higher qualifications in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, with several also holding university qualifications in environmental science and related disciplines. B4C places a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on experience, ensuring our team brings both technical knowledge and real-world expertise to every project.

All field staff hold essential industry certifications, including:

  • Construction White Card

  • Senior First Aid and CPR

  • ACDC (Authorised Chemical Distribution Control) Licence

Several team members also hold additional qualifications in Working at Heights, Chainsaw Operation (Levels 1 & 2), and Fire Ant Workplace Training.

Supported by Our Community

Our professional staff are supported by an incredible network of volunteers who contribute thousands of hours each year. From propagating native plants in our volunteer-run nursery to participating in bushcare, tree planting, wildlife monitoring and community events, our volunteers play a vital role in helping restore and protect the Bulimba Creek catchment.
