Erosion Control

B4C’s Landscape Services Team provides practical erosion control and site stabilisation tailored to individual site conditions.

Depending on the cause and severity of erosion, methods may include coir logs, jute matting and mesh, sandbags, straw bales, sediment fencing, logs and other natural or recycled materials. Works are planned according to slope, soil type, drainage, water flow and existing vegetation.

Where appropriate, erosion control is combined with revegetation using suitable native species to provide longer-term stabilisation, reduce soil loss and limit sediment entering waterways.

Our Experience

Upper Tingalpa Creek Catchment
Erosion management is an important part of B4C’s Upper Tingalpa Creekcare program, delivered in partnership with Seqwater. Works across the drinking water catchment combine erosion control, weed management and riparian revegetation to reduce sediment entering waterways that flow into Leslie Harrison Dam.

Grieve Road, Rochedale
B4C has undertaken erosion control and riparian rehabilitation across properties on Grieve Road, combining erosion control measures with approximately 600 native plants to stabilise vulnerable areas and improve riparian vegetation.

Ford Road, Burbank
Works at Ford Road have combined erosion management, weed control, fencing and approximately 500 native plants, addressing immediate erosion while supporting longer-term recovery of the riparian area.
