Join our regular Wednesday morning bushcare crew and help restore two important local waterways.

On alternate Wednesdays, Mia and Peter lead volunteer bushcare sessions at Reynolds Street Park and Bulimba Creek Oxbow Wetlands. New volunteers are always welcome, and no previous bushcare experience is required.

Reynolds Street Park

Meet: 9:00 am at the B4C Sustainability Centre, 21 Wright Street, Carindale.

Enjoy a cup of tea before walking across the road to the site.

Reynolds Street Park is a small patch of remnant bushland and forms part of an important local habitat corridor, including for squirrel gliders. Volunteers assist with activities such as weed removal, revegetation and ongoing site maintenance.

Bulimba Creek Oxbow Wetlands

Meet: 8:45 am at the B4C Sustainability Centre, 21 Wright Street, Carindale, to carpool to the site.

Departure: Strictly 9:00 am.

Bulimba Creek Oxbow and its surrounding wetlands include a mix of freshwater, brackish and estuarine habitats that support a diverse range of native plants and wildlife. Regular restoration work helps protect and improve this significant wetland area.

What to Bring

Please wear sun-safe clothing and enclosed shoes suitable for outdoor work.

Gloves and tools are provided. Please bring drinking water and apply a good-quality insect repellent before attending.
