The Southside Sustainability Centre is being developed as an educational, community-based centre for interactive, environmental learning. It aims to inspire through hands-on activities, empowering people to ask "what can I do for the environment?"

Water recycling and water efficiency demonstrations
Photovoltaic cells - educating for a renewable energy future

The centre is continually developing, and there are still many activities and projects planned for the future. These include:
Nature adventure trail
Native ecosystem and habitat building displays
Sustainable housing display
Regular workshops and children's activities
As a community-driven centre, it is open to people from all walks of life. There are many volunteering opportunities from office-based work to shoveling compost - if you are interested in taking part in developing this centre, or would like to support it in any other way, please contact us or look at our volunteering page for further details.

If you are interested in purchasing plants from our on-site nursery, we are open other times by appointment only.
