In 2010, Queensland Urban Utilities partnered with Bulimba Creek Catchment Coordinating Committee to undertake environmental works and Community Engagement as part of their wastewater and water service upgrades across Brisbane and the South-East.

To date, this has had positive results with rehabilitation works on fives sites as part of the Bulimba Creek Trunk Sewer Upgrade, and several community days with local media coverage. The Bulimba Creek Trunk Sewer Upgrade involves the construction of 4.5km sewer line alongside the existing trunk sewer line, and runs through MacGregor, Eight Mile Plains, Rochedale and Wishart, closely following the creek line. B4C is working with QUU to ensure positive environmental and community outcomes through this project.

The B4C-QUU partnership improves both QUU’s ability to work with the community, and B4C’s capacity to provide positive environmental and community outcomes.
