Mansfield Bushcare

Bulimba Creek Catchment's Mansfield Bushcare is a local group on Brisbane's southside which is carrying out bush revegetation and maintenance work along Wecker Road in Mansfield.

We meet at 8am on the third Saturday of each month
at the corner of Banika and Kenora Roads.

You are welcome to join us there for: Regeneration and Revegetation involving weed identification and management and native tree plantingWater Quality Checks Macroinvertebrate Biodiversity Testing, which involves sampling the populations of small aquatic animalsDealing with other relevant environmental concerns or projects you are interested in

We recommend wearing sturdy footwear, a hat, sunscreen and gloves.

On the first Sunday of other months, we do various activities in our project area between Wecker Road Bridge and Broadwater Picnic Grounds. Our aim is to maintain this area as a habitat for wildlife. Wallabies are frequently seen here, our last three spotlighting expeditions each located at least one koala, and reptiles are abundant.

We also organise local activities as part of national environmental events such as Clean Up Australia Day and the Great Marsupial Night Stalk.
